Weldon Springs Lakes

I fished Fire lake last summer and I think I caught 2 small bass, one on a buzzbait and one on a jig. Even with all the brush cover in it, it seemed really shallow. It was hard to fish from the bank when I went as there was a lot of weeds right up against most of the bank that extended out about 15'. Made it difficult to cast out past it to where the fish would have been.

I don't know of any stocking on any of the lakes in Weldon. There are some lakes south of fire lake, I've made a few casts on them without any results. But one little pond, kind of southeast of fire lake holds some bass, gills and have seen a couple nice size carp in there.

6lb Yozuri hybrid line.. Had no intentions to run into him clearly. He was really larthargic when I pulled him in, it was mainly the resistance of his bill as he pulled his head down.
