I really enjoy tying these streamers as well, and love looking at the finished product, but for those intimidated about the effort that goes in to tying these flies, our buddy Brandon (who is more about the fishing, and less about fancy tying) simply ties some bucktail on the back hook, maribou on the front with either dumbell eyes, or some just on a jig head for weight. These flies are nothing fancy to look at, but he seems to catch as many on these as we do on the fancy flies we like to tie, so don't worry if you don't think your fly ends up like the ones in the videos, get them in the water and they will catch fish.

By the way Brian, I love using these videos to help me tie, and having them in one place on the recipes section of this forum makes them a great resource!

I'm defenitely going to keep this going, it's a lot of fun. Going to do the Dungeon and the Bottom's Up for sure, not real sure how many more I will end up doing out of the Galloup line as I have covered all of the Galloup flies I actually use after I get those 2 done. Might do the Zoo Cougar, Barely Legal, and Heifer Groomer but will have to start tying them to get the feel for it.

That is hilarious.....you should see how much of that stuff I have gone through in the last several months. I am holding on to that stuff like it is pure gold--except when there is a big streamer to be tied with it. smile.gif

I keep checking shops in town and online and am always disappointed. My kingdom for some grizzly hackle.

I'm not being funny. I look forward to all your videos, and I want to try to learn to do the same.

Too bad he likes to fish so much, he'd get alot more footage if he would put down the rod!

Aren't guides supposed to guide, not fish? :secret-laugh:
