BackCastingGolfer Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 I've lived in Springfield for 4 years now. I fly fish alot but mainly for trout, with a renewed interest for bass. I fish Roaring River and Crane Creek very often. This spring I am dedicating myself to bass on the fly. I tie my own flies...it's more of an addiction than a hobby. I am a gigantic music nerd, and I am a reptile keeper. Looking forward to having a form where I can share with local guys and gain some new tips tricks and some new places to fish. I am so ready for this spring it is not even FUNNY! Tying flies all winter just doesn't cut it.
FishinCricket Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 "I am a gigantic music nerd" Can't be any more gigantic or nerdy that me or FlySmallie.... Welcome! cricket.c21.com
Flysmallie Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Be very careful with the bass. Catch a few good ones on a fly rod and you will forget those silly trout. And don't forget about the white bass this spring. They will pull on your string. You are close to several good spots for those.
BackCastingGolfer Posted January 21, 2012 Author Posted January 21, 2012 Welcome...Please post reports from Crane. Haven't been to Crane in a couple of weeks, the wind has been killer lately, but it fished well all December.
ciRe Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Welcome. You have several great spots to fish by you.
