duckydoty Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Fished the upper end this afternoon for a couple of hours. One maybe 2 units running and the fish were biting good on white chammy worms. Picked up 3 small browns right off the bat then nothing but rainbows after that. Fished the seams below outlet 2 all the way down to the stairs and caught 25-30 fish in just a couple of hours. Fished the white chammey under an indicator about 36 inches with one size 4 split shot for weight. Biggest fish went about 17 inches and they all faught pretty good out in the current. Used 7x tippet. A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners
Brian K. Shaffer Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Sounds like you had a darn good day! Holler at me next time you go. Just once I wish a trout would wink at me! ozarkflyfisher@gmail.com I'm the guy wearing the same Simms longbilled hat for 10 years now.
laker67 Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Good report Duane. Keep em coming, and keep an eye out for Drew. I think he is headed to taney sometime this week. Hopefully he will read this report and bring a few of those whammy worms with.
duckydoty Posted January 30, 2012 Author Posted January 30, 2012 Rick I think I got just enough of that cloth you gave me to last about one more season. Gonna have to try and track some more of that down. Brian I'll give you a holler later in the week. Headed to Joplin for a couple of days, then back to the fishin. drew03cmc Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Yeah, I am going to come down on Wednesday morning. If there is anyplace I can buy some flies right away, I am going to do so as all I am carrying right now are some streamers. I will be hitting the fly shop up here to grab some more flies today to toss in that trout box. The streamer box is full, but the trout, nymph box is half empty. Maybe I can squeeze some Shammys in there, along with some scuds(?) Andy

Make sure you have some # 4 and 6 split shot as well. 7 to 6x.
drew03cmc Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 I have everything set to go, scuds and shammys are about all I need to pick up. Thanks guys! I will post a report. Andy
