Members Milo Posted January 30, 2012 Members Posted January 30, 2012 So with the new regs which boots do you recommend? For any discussion on the felt ban, please use other threads under Conservation Issues Forum. Thanks Milo
sean c Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Simms Freestones are all I have ever owned. Just got my new pair with the vibrams and I like them as much as my old ones. They are hard to beat for support, comfort and durability.
mic Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Long story, short... a vendor sent me the Korkers Chorme by mistake. I love them. There is no reason to believe the $100.00 version wouldn't work just as well. But...I do like the wire lacing system.
Idylwilde Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Korkers for the one boot 3 or more choices of sole. For the $$$ top of the pile. Had mine for 3 years with not 1 thing I can say bad about them. Take a Child Fishing they are the future of the sport.
flyrodman Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 My vote goes for Korkers, I love mine. Luke Walz
Feathers and Fins Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Cougar Paws, They are made for roofer's and will stick to dang near anything. I can walk up to an 10/12 pitch roof with no problem. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
chub minnow Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Korkers - you can switch from studded to sticky rubber, depending on conditions. Don't like to wear studs inn the canoe, but love to have 'em when wading all day.
timsfly Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Still like my simms with the aquastealth sole, they are great here and out west, I do have the studs in mine and they are great, don't need em much here in the ozarks, but wouldn't be without them out west. Wayne SW/MO Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 I picked up a set of Korker Predators at a great price. I haven't had them wet, but I like the other features. If the wire lacing system holds up it will rival sliced bread in handy. I'm not a fan of studs and any boots that offer an interchange would be a plus. The bottom line will be what comes close to felt, if you really need it. Upper Taney and BSSP aren't too bad unless you fish the dam at BSSP. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
drew03cmc Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Korkers Redside. They are comfortable and for the $125 I paid, I got the boots and the Kling-On rubber sole and the studded Kling-On rubber soles. I am thoroughly impressed with them. They fit well, are comfortable and have pretty decent traction. Andy
