troutbum479 Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 I like my Simms G4s, tough boot and excellent grip. About time for a new pair soon. Probably going with the Rivertek BOA boot/ arkmoflyfishing.blogspot.com http://okietroutbum.blogspot.com/
mic Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 The worst thing I've ever had on my feet were Korkers. Worst customer service as well. Wow, I love mine.

drew03cmc Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 Wow, I love mine. I, too, love mine. They are so comfortable. Andy
FishinCricket Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 The worst thing I've ever had on my feet were Korkers. Worst customer service as well. Care to expound on that, or maybe suggest an alternative? :pretty_please: cricket.c21.com
Forsythian Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Got some Albright boots coming in the mail, should be here any day now. Cenosillicaphobiac
drew03cmc Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Good, meaning what, $400 Simms? Too bad. No wading boot is worth $400. I will continue to be happy with my $125 Korkers, and continue to wear them happily with my new Hodgman waders. In regards to your slippery surfaces comment, you must not have had studded rubbers. Andy
FishinCricket Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Guess I've just been spoiled by good wading shoes. They weren't comfortable, actually made my feet tired, were dangerous on slippery surfaces and are poorly stitched. Gave mine away. As far as cheap wading shoes are concerned, Hodgmans are much better. Thanks for the reply Ron, I understand your perspective.. Someday I'll be the same, but as of now I find myself agonizing for days about spending over $100 on ANYTHING that isn't essential to life... (there's an ongoing internal debate about what those three words mean, exactly, but that's not a rant for this thread.. Or is it?!!? ) cricket.c21.com
Geoff Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Im quiet the fan of my Simms Freestone boots with the Stream Tread vibram. They are very comfortable, freakishly light and pretty darn grippy. I have had them all over the place and really the only time they feel slippery is on super flat rock covered in that super slimmy algea, which even the felt can struggle with that stuff "When you do things right, people wont be sure you've done anything at all."
