Addicted to Creeks Posted February 9, 2012 Author Posted February 9, 2012 try carp. they are literally everywhere in the mississippi and pretty darn fun to catch on top of it Fish always lose by being "got in and dressed." It is best to weigh them while they are in the water. The only really large one I ever caught got away with my leader when I first struck him. He weighed ten pounds. —Charles Dudley Warner
MoSportsmen Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Yep, carp are definately on the list. Always thought it would be pretty easy to chum a hole and wait a little while and throw some bait in and hook up with something over 10 anyway. I have arrowed a coule oer 20. Going to be targeting flatheads and blues also. Messing about in boats
drs7558 Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Gosh, this reads like a trout stream site. Had a hip replacement this year, it kept me out of the boat, both before and after. Got a place on the lake, but have'nt been down. Just a couple of times before I realized I couldn't use the boat. I should be ready for the 2012 spawn. I hope to realy learn how to fish The Rock this year. It's a tough lake. Can't wait. PS. I'm makin up some A-Rigs.
