Shallow Fish ?

Anyone find the fish close to the banks yet ? Last month I didnt as much as see a minnow in the shallows.

There will always be some fish shallow year round. As for the greater poulation they have more than likely pushed out deeper and are suspending a little more than they were. I have'nt fished the Rock in almost a month. I'm sure a lot has changed since then.

The only fish i could get to bite yesterday was shallow, and many were very shallow, like in 6 ft. Classic wiggle wart stuff, but they wouldn't bite the wart, only caught them on the A rig. I posted a report.

im new here on the forum but have visited quite often to see what the fish are doing I was up the white sunday and found all my fish in less than ten ft of water on jigs and warts

I have not gotten the hang of fishing deep yet. All my Table Rock fish have been shallow.. 25 feet or less. Sounds like they are moving up. Thanks.

not sure about them moving up, may have just been right place right time kinda day there was some baitfish up there though thats what got em

Like Sore Thumbs said, there are always some fish shallow. Always. Especially if you consider shallow down to 25 feet.

Funny I consider 25ft. and in shallow 25-40 mid depth 40+ deep, been to parts of the country where 8ft is deep.

For the record, it was pretty windy that day, the shallow ones were in the wind. Nothing really of any size size, 2 would've been close to 3 lb class fish, the rest, just average keepers (that were keepers anyway). But when I got one to bite, I could catch 5-10 more in the exact same spot.
