My wife caught her biggest fish at Stockton in the fall. It was a 15" Smallmouth. I sure got a kick out of watching her catch it. The fish slammed a small spinnerbait she was using. Darn near tore the rod out of her hands. She kept trying to hand me her fishing rod and I just started laughing. I said, "You caught it, you reel it in"! Every time she would try to hand me her pole, the Smallmouth would make a run and I just laughed harder. She finally got it in. It was a real bronze beauty. We released the fish to fight again and we all had a great day.

Willow Leaf, I'm not sure who said this but, "Smallmouth wake up mad and get meaner as the day goes on".......

The first few smallmouth that I caught , It felt as if they were hitting my lure with a baseball bat;..

Definitely got my attention !!!!!!

My absolute favorite smallmouth bait from June to September was a natural colored Creme worm. Love those things!!
