Martin Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Amen to Bill's last sentence ! I sometimes zig when I should be zagging. Every now and then, something very good happens !
dtrs5kprs Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 One of the many great things about us being locals is really if we are just out there, it could matter less how many fish we catch. NO prussure at all. If we want to try things or fish water or depths of water that we normally don't fish, so be it. If I don't catch any today, I can always go tomorrow, and trick a few, on tried and ture locations with the presentations I know will work. I do my best learning when I am in a don't care mode and fishing goofy. Cannot tell you the number of locations I have put onto the GPS when I was just messing around. I'll get the area and zip codes changed eventually. Just have to pack the Harter House meat home with me to KC until then.
edyer Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 I was wondering if in another month when the lizard c-rig strts a bit, if you could catch them on the umbrella rig with three lizards slow rolled? Or right now with Rage craws or Zoom Speed craws with the flapping pinchers going? I still can't cast the Umbrella rig through the ice up here in Michigan yet. By my house now, the ice is too dangerous to fish on, but two thick to use a boat yet. I'm still relying on you guys to try some of my ideas out. Thanks for the info. Keeps me looking forward to my trip down there the end of March. In the meantime, I'll make some more umbrella rigs.
