bferg Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Trying to decide where to go on Saturday AM. Looks like it is going to be pretty sunny. Anyone been up the War Eagle arm or either of the rivers yet? Any reports from that area? Probably going to hit PC Sat PM.
Quillback Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 I drove over the White River on 412 about 2 weeks ago, water was brown, there was a story in today's paper about bass fishing up War Eagle, water muddy there also. They did catch some bass on a black crankbait. Good luck if you go, and please let us know how the fishing was!
bferg Posted February 23, 2012 Author Posted February 23, 2012 Just read that. I am hoping that since they were out there on the 17th (right after the rain) that the water has cleared up...and also hoping that this warm week of sunny weather has warmed it up some. No one is as optimistic as a fisherman!
Feathers and Fins Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 I havent been up there for about 3 weeks , but reoprts I had this weekend from other anglers were it was MUDDY! They said the mudline was all the way down to Horseshoe bend. I would concentrate for Bass and Whites from the flats in front of Beaver shores to the islands for Bass and Whites to Prairie and Avoca. Crappie I had an e-mail last night from a friend getting them around the islands in front of 12 bridge. Stripers are still in Prairie Creek and Avoca. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
bferg Posted February 23, 2012 Author Posted February 23, 2012 Thank man...I am going to chase some stripers in PC Friday afternoon and Sat afternoon...sat AM we are going to run all the way up the war eagle by the mill. I have heard of a guy catching some walleyes at Richland creek...if the walleye are that far up the White then maybe there are some up the war eagle as well. Will let you know if we get into anything...the fly rods are locked and loaded.
Guest Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 It was cloudy but not muddy on saturday, up the river and looked much cleaner around Pt12. I think its going to clear up more by the weekend, esp without much rainfall this week. My 2 cents
Members teacher Posted February 24, 2012 Members Posted February 24, 2012 Is Richman creek above Neills Bluff, and was the guy fishing from a boat or from shore? I'm not familiar with Richman, but I would like to get on some early walleyes. Are eyes caught on the War Eagle arm, anyone? I've been down below Beaver dam and getting a few(very few). Thanks for any info! "Teacher" walleyepro69@gmail.com
Members wormer Posted February 24, 2012 Members Posted February 24, 2012 Richland creek is the twin bridges area Hwy 45, next to Goshen. Way up river.
