Well, I didn't get to spend three days in the Ozarks due to a couple of family issues. However, I was able make it down to Little Piney for a full day. The day turned out pretty good for a first timer. I brought 8 trout to hand, all about 8 inches. Sorry no pics. I was always standing in thigh high water and none of the fish were big enough to leave a hole. Seven of the trout were on Golden Ribbed Wet Hare's Ear and the eighth was on a scud. I also caught an eight inch chub. Seven of the fish were in broken water and one on a slow water flat. The only weird item was with drys. I must of had a half a dozen hits with no fish. I don't know if it was bad luck or last minute refusals. I went smaller, but then it went cold. There was hatch of small and medium flies, but very little action on top...a couple of rises here and there. For the regulars... Is there any volume of visual rises on LP after it warms up.

Well, I believe this leaves me with Crane and Spring creeks left to catch the wild ones. These are the only wild only creeks right?

Barren Fork, there are probably a few other tiny creeks that nobody talks about.

Barren Creek...Thanks Much

On the Little Piney, from my experience there, the best and most likely times for classic hatches and rises is the Tricos in August and Sept., early morning. Those days I'm off the creek by 10:00-11:00 AM at the latest. There may be other later in the day hatches but I'm not much of an evening fisherman.

I'd rather live my entire life, living as if there is a God and Jesus and to find out at the end that there isn't, than to live my entire life as if there is no God and Jesus and to find out at the end that there is.

I've seen some white #8 caddis in September, April and May. And not just a couple. But the flat pools around 63 and Lane Springs are somewhat hard to fish.

Barren fork was busy last weekend. I was down there with several hundred of my closest friends.

Never made it down there. Hopefully I can make a trip in either March or May while visiting some friends. Might check out BSC on my way down as well.

I'm also kinda mad with myself for not going to the 100 acre wood last weekend. Love that race.
