I see links to what is published by the COE but I do not find surface temperatures published there. Is there a good source for surface temp for Truman Tailrace?

Really wanting to give it a try this early spring but it would be a road trip and I want to get in on the best I can.

Problem is that is not indicative of the tailrace.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

I always go by the daily lake information number for Truman. I understand that it is not the actual temperature below the dam, but probably pretty close. The reports indicate that they are catching Walleye and some wipers and white bass. However, I have not been down. My experience is that it does not really get good in terms of hybrids until the lake water temperature gets closer to 57. I usually start making trips down when the lake temperature gets into the 50s.

Well looks like the cards I have been delt dictates I go this weekend or not go for a while after that. Would be glad to get into just about anything walleye whites and hybrids sounds good. If I put the boat in under the darn where do I go, what do I do from there?

We have been catching small hybrids up here in Thomas hill on bait, but we would like to get into some bigger ones. Got a tackel box full of stuff to throw at em. Would anchoring in the current flow be a good way to go? or just drift with the current untill you hit some fish, run the shore line with lures? Never been so I really don't know where to start.
