Clayton Will Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Don't burn in the sun. Use SPF 30 and above sunscreen, WillCFish
Jack Jones Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 You too can look like a terrorist while fishing the waters of the beautiful Ozarks, LOL. In all seriousness, though, a good reminder as I have suffered several burns in my time while fishing and not paying attention. Thanks. Trout Commander Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 and pants. We all thank you. I have spent most of my money on fly fishing and beer. The rest I just wasted. The latest Trout Commander blog post: Niangua River Six Pack

exiledguide Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 I was cured of colon cancer final chemo August 1998. Sixteen months of treatments. The chemo made me ultra sesitive to sun (burning and rash) and cncer made me more likely to suffer skin cancer.Stared wearing spf 30 long shirts in 1998 and now wear spf 50 shirts and sun gloves and wide brimmed hats and use spf50 sun block on my face. Believe it or not the long sleeve shirts are cooler in the sun than wearing a short sleeve shirt. However I recently had six pre cancerous spots on my face and ears removed. I guess I will be doing the terrorist look this year. I have also noticed that Pete Maina and Shaw Grigsby wearing sun protection clothing. Protect yourself from the sun, protective clothing and sunblock are a lot cheaper than surgery, chemo therapy and radiation treatments. Also a lot easier than the side effects of chemo and radiation.
Trout Commander Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 your welcome. I am far too white to be seen in shorts. Never stops me. I'm just a fan of guys wearing pants on the river, whether it's short pants or long pants. I don't mind seeing the bottom half of two white legs. I have spent most of my money on fly fishing and beer. The rest I just wasted. The latest Trout Commander blog post: Niangua River Six Pack
