First Buffalo got clobbered by a tornado.. reported one fatality. 20+ injured. Crews are working now to find the missing and I hope the early words will be good as this storm passed thru rather early. How very sad.

We had plenty of notice here in Branson.. 3 tornado sirens.. then -- it went black.

Minor damage to the area... hopefully there are no fatal injuries. Tremendous damage they are saying now.

They are discussing the damage now on the radio - lots of roofs blown off and damage to the Kimberling area and Mt. Branson area. Some people trapped. Downtown area of Branson has damage. Hilton has windows blown out. The strip was hammered. Behind Garrs on the strip is demolished. Some Cliff Rd houses are wiped out.

Lots of lower 76 is wiped out.

Phil and his family live pretty much underneath this area by land.... man I hope they are all OK.

I live on the north side of town and missed this one my a mile or two. The roof was ripped off from the Candlestick Inn... a roof I can, or cannot any longer see out my back window.

Let's hope this isnt anything... just a " less than class EF1.. but strong straight line winds"...

No major inuries reported... a dozen or so at the hospital. Keep hope for them.

EDIT - T Hwy got nailed. That is awful. T32 and Taneycomo Highlands have plenty who live there.

I wonder how other local areas made it.

my thoughts and prayers to everyone.

If you know anyone affected and they are ok and just damage have them get photo's of it for insurance claims and contact their insurance company immidiately. DO NOT sign a contract with any contractor untill the adjuster has been there. After that make sure the contractor is Licensed and Insured. I've seen to many storm chasers after storms come in and screw people over.

If you are affected by this and have any questions on insurance damage and claims feel free to PM me or ask here and i will try to answer them for you. But get that claim called in TODAY.

KOMC reports major damage to the top of 76.. by the Ride the Ducks area.

Taco Bell had the windows blown out.. several giant 1940's heavy Water Ducks were overturned.

The new Burger Shack is about demolished. It used to be a coffee shop, before that Schlotchkeys.

JR's Motor Inn had its entire backside ripped off. And the roof.

-- and the Branson schools are now out today... as the busses are assisting other needs.

** and the Kimberling INN is destroyed beyond belief.

EDIT - 76 the highway itself is just now being opened to any traffic.. 7:55am - just 76 south to 165.

76 from 65 is totally closed.

Edgar Springs got hit hard, also. The conoco is destroyed.

Just wind and hail by the Current.

Does anyone know how the Rockaway Beach area fared? Wayne lives there, he hasn't answered my text this AM.

a buddy of mine is one of the blues brothers at the legends show. He showed pics of the roof collapsed. that's just up the hill from phil and the rest of the resorts. Haven't been able to get in contact with another friend that was in Kimberling City for the Everstart Series. Unofficially, the tournament is cancelled. The pictures of the kimberling inn are pretty bad. Word is they will have to level the whole thing and start over.
