eric1978 Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 It's time to move a couple rods again. Loomis CR722 GLX -- Baitcaster, 6', medium power, fast action. Excellent condition aside from light soiling on the cork. Been on the river maybe a dozen times. A more versatile rod for stream smallie fishing does not exist. $240 firm. St. Croix Premier PS60MF -- Spinning, 6', medium power, fast action. Bought this one off Ham last summer but I didn't really need it and I don't use it enough to justify keeping it. Good rod, pretty good condition. Not mint but plenty of years left on her. $50 I'll upload pics per request if any of y'all are serious about one of them. Come pick it up if you live in the St. Louis area, or I can ship it for actual cost (on you) or we can arrange something else...whatever.
eric1978 Posted March 5, 2012 Author Posted March 5, 2012 Sunday night bump. You know you want some Loomis in your life.
eric1978 Posted March 7, 2012 Author Posted March 7, 2012 Humpday bump. No one wants this bad mofo? I'll take $225, final offer.
hoglaw Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 This would be an outstanding canoe rod for anyone looking at a nice set-up. I have the GL3 with identical specs as that blank and its absolutely awesome.
Quillback Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Not the right rod for me, but that's a heckuva deal on a GLX.
eric1978 Posted March 11, 2012 Author Posted March 11, 2012 "The most versatile of our Casting Rod Series, the 722 is capable of fishing a variety of lures and techniques, including topwaters, spinnerbaits, grubs and small worms, especially when fishing clear water with 8-10 pound test line. In contrast, it will handle larger worms and up to 3/8 ounce jigs. If you fish Red Fins, Long A’s or Rapalas, you like this rod a lot. It has enough power to move fish away from cover, but is much better as an open-water rod. GLX provides unbelievable lightweight and sensitivity."
