Which one is better for the humminbird unit? I have herd good things about both, but it looks like the navionics chip might be a little better and more detailed. What are your guys thoughts?

Mike, just noticed that Lake of the Ozarks and Table Rock are the only lakes that Lakemaster does not have on the Missouri list. I do not understand that at all. guess I will be getting Navionics then.

Navionics was having some licensing issues with fugawi; and the LOZ map in HD has not been available for a while.....just something to keep in mind if you frequent LOZ like myself......I would love to have that HD map for my humminbird.....but I keep checking.......maybe one of these days?

The navionics table rock HD map is pretty great though.....but I have no experience with lakemaster.:-(

I have the Lakemaster chip for Michigan, which I really like, but it was not available for Table Rock. That might change in the near future now that Huminbird has bought out Lakemaster. I bought the Navionics witch included the South States, which I will never take my boat on.

If you are going to buy your chip right now, you will decide by the lakes the chip covers. I have both and like the Lake Master the best, but as others have mentioned, they do not cover TR and LOZ. I go to Stockton a lot and it does cover that lake.

One feature that tips the scales toward Lake Master is the setting for lake level. When the lakes are low, you can adjust the depth settings so you do not get into dangerously shallow water that is normally safe.

Hope this helps

I was told that they are releasing an updated card probably within the next 30 day. It's supposed to have table rock on it.

I just bought the tx/ok here ( http://just4electronics.com/index.php?main_page=index&manufacturers_id=20&sort=20a&page=7 ) for $90 shipped. That's the cheapest I've found. I paid Monday and it arrived today. I struggled over which card to buy but ultimately the features of the lakemaster vs. the 3d of the navionics won out. Also I kept hearing how much more accurate and detailed the lakemaster was. Hope this helps.
