Justin Spencer Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Brought 2 Coosa's (Jackson fishing kayaks) home from the Missouri Canoer's and Floater's Association meeting yesterday. Still wrapped in plastic, hoping to get a break in the weather so I can try one out. I'll let you know how I like them, and they will of course be available for rent here at Sunburst Ranch. Sorry if I offend anyone with this post, normally wouldn't "advertise" here but there has been alot of interest in the Coosa so this is a chance to try one out and see if you want to buy one. Justin Spencer Posted March 8, 2012 Author Posted March 8, 2012 Those things are COOL! Not as cool as a driftboat, but for a one man fishing craft that can also move down the river I think they will be great. They also had a prototype of a new 2 man fishing kayak that they are producing at the show. Looks pretty cool, but I would still lean toward a canoe over it for a two man fishing vessel. Might be easier to talk the wife into the 2 man kayak however, and you could throw a kid or two in the middle much like a canoe. Justin Spencer Posted March 8, 2012 Author Posted March 8, 2012 Will the two man work for my 10 year old daughter and me? It sure would, don't know if they have it up on their website yet but I think they call it the TUNA. Wayne SW/MO Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Bobber had a 2 man kayak, don't remember the brand, but he fished with his nephew out of it. He didn't seem to have any problems on the Elk or Buffalo when I was there. Justin offering something like a Coosa to try before you buy is a worthy service in my opinion. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

mic Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Just checked out the web page. The two seater is the Tuna. Check out this new feature: Leading the charge on these unique elements has to be the patent pending ‘Tuna Tank’, a unique bait/live well that requires no plumbing or electronics! It utilizes the water from beneath the boat to circulate into the bait tank keeping fish lively and fresh unlike any other system on the market.

Mic, I do have some tandem kayaks (old towns), your daughter will love it, that's how we started our kids, last year my 7 year old was solo kayaking. Let me know and we'll get you on a float.
