Put in at CC around 10am and put out around 6. What a beautiful day! Found water temps from 52 to 55. Stayed around the bridge till noon scouting for whites and crappie or even an eye. Nutin. Might have had a hit. There were several boats and bank fishermen there. I saw one fish caught in 2 hours. Wind was pretty brisk most all day. Moved on downstream a couple of miles to try to whack some blacks. I threw a shad wart and they ate it up. Threw parallel down the bank on steep channel banks with emphisis on every point. Had 20 fish mostly 14.9" ers. I did manage to use my net. The net I knocked that 5 pounder off at the boat with! Anyone with any info on whites (depth, how far upstream, etc) please share!

Thanks, Bill

Hit CC today. Water temp was 47 to 49 where I was. A lot of boats. Even the overflow parking was full and there was still 4 or 5 boats waiting to put in when I left at noon. Only a couple people I talked to had any fish. Most of the fish I saw caught were caught by boats drifting in the channel. Saw a lot of crappie and whites being caught suspended but most seemed small. Having said that, it should be noted that they did a lot better than I did. lol

I got to fish again today and thought I'd try some place different so I put in at Mutton. Fished Googer, some main lake points, Greaser then chicken rock area. Had maybe 5 blacks total. Went back up towards CC around Springfield cove and fished the same mile of channel bank I hit yesterday with similar results.. . Had four keepers and over 20 shorts. Mostly on the shad wiggle wart but before the wind got up I had several on a Senko. The biggest deal for me was the moss. Hardly any up the river but bad on the lake. The fish wanted the crankbait rattling around on the bottom so that means 5-7 feet. The moss kept me from doing that anywhere but upstream. Temps on both my graphs got up to 56 but averaged around 54 after 12.

Fished for bass out of Ruark Bluff on Tuesday. Put in @ 11:30 and pulled out @ 5:30. Caught about a dozen blacks and one Kentucky. Most were caught on a brown jig in 4 to 8 foot of water in secondary pockets, also caught one on a white jerk bait and another couple on a crawdad wart. Out of the dozen or so bass one might have kept, not sure where the big ladies are? Talked to a number of crappie fishermen and nobody was catching. Heading back up this morning to try for crappie, if no crappie than we'll go for bass again. Tight Lines!

Fished Saturday up Son's and around Mutton for Bass. Caught about 13. Two over 15, 10 at 14 to just under, and one 12" Water was 50 degrees. Nothing on Jerkbaits or Spinnerbaits. 3/8 and 1/2 oz. Blueish/Greenish/ or Brownish Jigs with Zoom Craws and Paca Chunks. Bite was light. Used Crawdad oil. Fish have scattered with the 70 degree temps. Don't know where to catch big ones right now. Probably some still deep on Main Lake if you have them located. If the weather holds we will be catching them on everything pretty soon.
