Wednesday Fishing Report

Better today than yesterday, actually much better. Back on the water around the twin bridges area today. Caught over 20 blacks and 1 smallie, must of had 6 or 7 that would have kept. Best 5 would have gone 11 or 12 pounds, nothing big but at least it's picking up! Spent an hour or so crappie fishing with jigs and caught 3 keepers and 2 shorts. Most bass on brown/green jigs with a few on a white jerk bait. Best advice I can give you is to find the end of a bluff and fish it, they were stacked up on the ends today in about 12' of water. Water temp was 53 to 57 and most of the fish were actually caught where the wind wasn't blowing.......go figure. Going back up on Friday and expect it to be even better, come on 65 degree water!

Great job! Man they are stacked up on the points aren't they? With these warm nights and 75+ days things are gonna change fast. The surface temps have gone up 2 degrees every day! I planned my vacation too late.... This global warming is crazy

Dollar Bill, you don't know of any boat storage on the east side of town (Springfield) or the north end of town?? I know there is Classic Storage up off 65 & I-44 but they want $90 a month, crazy expensive! Anybody else have any suggestions on boat storage?

I don't know the cost but Lakin's market and storage up north of Metro appliance on Glenstone has storeage suitable for boats. $90 a month sounds expensive but I wish I could fill by boats gas tank for that!

There is a storage place about 3 or 4 miles north of springfield on 160. I do not know the name of it but it is right next to the Bike Shop on the right hand side of the road.

Straw Hat, Don't mean to sound helpless but I can't find any listing for a bike shop (motorcycle or bicycle) on 160 north of Springfield. However I am headed to Stockton tomorrow and I'll look for it as I head north.
