WeekendWarrior Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 Anyone been to the lake last couple days, looking for water temp and water clarity from mid-lake to dam. thanks
buckcreekmike Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 Was there this weekend, about 45 degrees at 7MM on the Main Lake, and about 47-48 halfway back in the Gravois.

Mike, Thanks for your reply. How was water color on main lake and gravois? thanks
bluebasser86 Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 We fished around the Osage Beach area Tuesday. Water was a little stained but not bad. We had water temps from 48 in the morning to 57 in the back of pockets in the afternoon. Fishing was tough for everyone we talked to and wasn't very good for us either. Caught about a dozen bass on sticks and shakeyheads with a few crappie, whites, and drum mixed in.
WeekendWarrior Posted March 16, 2012 Author Posted March 16, 2012 I figured fishing to be tough due to weather changing so drastically and fish on the move and spread out. Fishing changing daily I'm sure. Thanks all for updates!

Not sure if it rained there like it did in KC, but I would think that would dirty it up some. I did get a lot of moss on the wiggle wart I was throwing, that sucked, i didn't fish it that much because of that.
slothman Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 I have been dealing with a lot of moss too. Caught a few crappie today, but they don't seemed to be really turned on just yet. I saw quite a few bass boats out today with a few bass being caught. I don't know what they were using though. I did see one boat fishing an Alabama Rig (don't know if he caught any). Pretty windy this morning. Water is fairly clear despite the rain.

I am surprised to hear the water is still fairly clear with all the rain, I'm guessing it won't be long before main lake turns chocolate if they are pulling water and Truman is dumping
rangerz21 Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 WW Truman is not dumping. Neither LOZ is either. When Truman does start The water up There is in really good shape. I beleive that your should stay good
slothman Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 All generation was turned off below Bagnell Dam last night. The river was low and the fishing was SLOW.
