woodman Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 I found this recipe for a beautiful boat.... This boat is made from "sow's ear" material. I don't think it rates being a "silk purse", but it turned out ok, for what it came from. 2 - 22" cut offs of 1/4" BC pine plywood for the floor 2 - $ 5.00 each sheets of bargin bin Luan Left over 1 X ? pine boards Stems and batter boards made from pine and white oak Swampwood and I logged, and milled ourselvs. 1/2 quart left over varnish 1 - $8.00 gal. of returned paint. Lady at ACE remixed the color for us. Maybe $5.00 glue and ring nails. Total cost less than $75.00. http://www.southernpaddler.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=9100&p=90174#p90113 http://s147.photobucket.com/albums/r302/scrawford_photos/
Daryk Campbell Sr Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Very neat link. Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. (me) I am the master of my unspoken words, and the slave to those that should have remained unsaid. (unknown)
