  1. I agree, it kind of muddies the water of what counts as a record when its controlled by stocking. The skill and patience of landing an 11 pound fish on 4 pound line is definitely something the kid should be proud of.
  2. That's pretty cool. 50 bucks is fifty bucks. Especially if its for a by product anyhow. I wasn't aware that there was still a market for them.
  3. Despite all the other issues, you still had a great day. That's a great reward.
  4. Fun day!
  5. Outer half, part number 322932. @fishinwrench, would you have one in your pile? Mine has a broken piece that holds the steering handle bushing. Im considering using some epoxy, but I know thats a temporary fix.

  7. Them are good size. Well done.
  8. Decided to grill some stuff. This is how I do my shrimp on the grill. It lacks the smoked flavor, but it is easy and the wife approves. Just a tab of salted butter, seasoning of your choice, wrap them in foil nice and tight wraps. I grill off of the heat about 10 to 15 minutes. It may be too long, but I got sick on shrimp once and now it has to be well done. The corn was the sme method. Frozen corn, but it was great. A couple nights ago, I tried to copy KFC's Famous bowl. I really like Walmart's Famous Chicken Tenders and decided to make a bowl. Turned out well. Bed of mashed potatoes, layer of whole kernal corn, chicken tenders, or popcorn chicken, covered with gravy, add shredded cheddar.
  9. I plan to start chasing the slam this year. Im curious how many have completed it. It will not be an obsession for me, just want to set a new goal to achieve and and go after it.
  10. Not the first on my list of desires. I am curious how you cook and eat them?
  11. James McMurtry: Slew Foot with Joe Ely - YouTube https://share.google/bpDPnUqU1QnNrsbrb @jdmidwest's issues with the bear mde me want to share this one.
  12. Lately, dinners have been very repetitive or simple. Last night was nearly the same. But ive been needing something to post, @nessgave the nudge, so.... I present nacho salad plates. Base layer of chips of your choice. Wife wanted Doritos, I had Tostitos rounds. Next layer was a bagged taco salad from Walmart. Then taco meat, cheese, and whatever extras you prefer. Turned out really good, but I forgot black olives.
  13. Hope you got to enjoy your birthday. We want pictures. LOL
  14. He was a great dog. Very obedient, and a friend to all he met. I'm very sorry Phil.
  15. Keeping it simple. I love it.
  16. I've never done one, nor attended one. If I get a chance I would like to attend one. I'm sure someone on here has some tips.
  17. Happy birthday @Mrs. BilletHead and happy St Pat's day to everyone.
  18. Sunday evening I tried something new. The wife hinted that she wanted some Lo Mein, I said, I'll give it a shot. It turned out well. My noodles to homeade sauce was off but it still tasted fine. Just need to double the sauce next time. I cubed the chicken breasts ( I prefer dark meat, but the wjmife doesn't) coated them in lemon pepper seasoning. Let them sit 15 or 20 minutes on the counter (This is a tried and true portion for my house.) Then I made the noodles per the package, get the ones that are for LoMein, not rice noodles. Found a sauce recipe on line, I think its simple teriyaki sauce homemade. I cooked the chicken in a skillet with approx 3/4 cup of teriyaki sauce from a bottle. Cook it over med high heat to cook down the juice in the chicken and the sauce. I cooked some veggies in a separate skillet, as the wife and kids won't eat them. Coat the noodles and serve.
  19. I finally got a chance to get a line wet for a few hours. Caught my first fish of the year, just so happened Facebook had a then and now picture from 10 years ago. It was i believe my first OAF One Bass Tournament. I was on @Macsimus' boat. Kinda neat. Just a green sunfish, got a small bluegill, a tiny bass and a few small crappie as well. All on dome flies i tied, but using spinning gear. I tried fishing my local creek, the access was too muddy, I was sinking and not wearing boots. I came across a large dumping of concrete. I genuinely curious how they get the concrete and asphalt there to dump it. There is not easy access by a side by side much less a truck. The water is way too shallow to bring a barge. Any ideas?
  20. Que up Jackson Brown... "Oh won't you Stay.... a little bit longer...."
  21. Looks like I overshot the date.
  22. I was quite impressed with the speed and response it had for a 9.9 and 3 people on the boat.
