MOBass Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 I am taking a mental health day Sunday and will probably put in at Rockaway. I haven't seen many reports on the green fish lately. I know it is top secret, double secret probation stuff to talk about bass in Taney. If anyone would care to share some info it would be appreciated.
drew03cmc Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 Wow, good question. They are still there? I thought they did away with the bass fishery to make it a trout fishery. I am guessing you mean the lower end of the lake, right? Andy
Wayne SW/MO Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 MOBass its no secret. Fish it like any other lake, but remember that water temps rule, so use some common sense to find warmer waters. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted September 20, 2006 Root Admin Posted September 20, 2006 Not much generation so water temps will be uniformed throughout the lower end. It's also a shallow lake so you don't have to think 'deep' like Table Rock. Cool temps- try topwater. Linc was throwing a rapala around during a camera shoot last week just below Branson and caught a big white bass. Pretty cool!
MOBass Posted September 20, 2006 Author Posted September 20, 2006 I usually fish from Branson to below Rockaway. Not sure if the qualifies as lower lake or not. I have only fished Taney in the summer time and wasn't sure if there would be a drastic change for the fall. Do the fish reposition during generation? I have yet to be down there with water running while fishing bass.
stone9-7=2 Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 I would try the mouth of bull creek on both side's all the way back to the island, although i do not fish bass i have seen the bass my friend's that fish bass have caught in there. No secret just have to locate them. But you didn't here it from me.ha ha. 9-7=2
