mic Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Looking for some new patterns to try out tying and fishing. I found this one, and it is supposed to catch them all. Looks like a Frankenstein fly, a little of this and little of that from traditional patterns. Anyone tried it? http://www.thehaddiscatch.com/2011/05/tuesday-tie-prince-aggravator.html
Justin Spencer Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 I make up all sorts of prince-like/rubberlegs versions, haven't found one yet that won't catch fish, just play with whatever materials you have and have fun, only problem is I never tie 2 flies the same so if one works great and I lose it I'm out of luck. Haven't tried one with a marabou tail however, neat idea! I have multicolored packs of biots and have used many different colors, I love red, yellow, purple, pretty much all of them. I think a contrast is just as important as color.
