Jeremy Rasnick Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 I spoke to hydro Tech today and they quoted $395 plus parts for a 100hr service. They said after it is all said and done i am looking at about a 700 dollar bill. This seems a little bit too steep. I live in Branson and would like to take it closer than that if at all possible. Does anybody have a recommendation to a certified yamaha mechanic at a decent price? Thanks,
Members rs00765605 Posted March 27, 2012 Members Posted March 27, 2012 I've been lucky and not had to have any work on my Yamaha that I couldn't do myself, but if you ever go to buy any Yamaha parts, check out a place online called Hardcore Marine - www.hardcoremarine.com. They carry Genuine Yamaha parts MUCH cheaper than you can buy them anywhere. Even with shipping, they are much cheaper. For example, I had to put a new prop shaft in my 1999 200. It was $291 everywhere I checked, but I got it from Hardcore with shipping for $231. Also, you might call John at Johns Hot Props, he knows some Yamaha guys that do some work on the side if that something that you are interested in .
Dutch Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 Call Pat Ayres in Highlandville. He was lead mechanic at Sport Boats for years and now has his own shop at home. He can do anything any other tech can and normally is a whole lot less.
CaptainJoe Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 Call Fred Ulrich at 417-272-1841 and get a quote. Ulrich Marine offers competitive prices and services, plus they are professional and reliable and Yamaha certified. All my service is performed at Ulrich. As stated in my signature, Ulrich is one of my sponsors, but I only choose the best. They are located in Branson West. See their website link in my signature, below. Good luck! Members Stragler Posted March 27, 2012 Members Posted March 27, 2012 Jeremy: Where is Hydro-tech located and do you have a phone number for them... Thanks
Bill Babler Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 865 W. Enterprise Lane, Nixa, Mo. 417-725-3046. All these posts are very good. Keep one thing in mind and Capt. Joe pointed this out. If that motor is still under warranty you had best go to an authorized service center. As soon as it is not or if it is not then you have options. Fred and his staff are great. Any unit I have weather it be a lawnmower, my chevy Avalanche, or my boat motor, while under warranty only authorized service centers touch it. Something goes wrong, your fault, his fault, anyones fault. Does not matter, if that motor was touched by anyone outside the service centers, you will be in deep Kimchi. And they will hold it against you, big time. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
