Members crappieslayer Posted April 2, 2012 Members Posted April 2, 2012 Hey everyone, I'm researching cabins down on Table Rock for Memorial weekend and it's overwhelming. I'm hoping to stay in the Cape Fair- Aunts Creek, Kimberling City, or Baxter/Mill Creek areas. I'm looking for your help on what resorts are good ones around those areas? Hoping for a nice cabin that is close to the water and a resort that has a pool for the kiddos. I'm hoping someone out there has passed by a resort while fishing and said "wow that looks like a nice place to stay". Anyone have any suggestions one which ones to check out? Any info would be much appreciated! Thanks guys!
gitnby Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 not sure what will be available on Memorial Day? You could try Schooner Creek Resort near Kimberling. Not fancy, but great location. Ask for Leon or Jody Prior, the owners. Or maybe Whispering Woods. Gary or Lorene Watson
dtrs5kprs Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 not sure what will be available on Memorial Day? You could try Schooner Creek Resort near Kimberling. Not fancy, but great location. Ask for Leon or Jody Prior, the owners. Or maybe Whispering Woods. Gary or Lorene Watson I'm in on Schooner. Have been staying there since 1996. Right on the lake, close to food, groceries, gas. Decent ramp and good parking by the rooms. 417-739-4417 Hard to say how busy Kimberling will be with all the tornado damage to the marina docks. If Leon is full you might also check Kimberling Oaks or FishHook. K-Oaks is across the cove from Schooner Creek, have stayed there when Schooner was full. FishHook is down DD Hwy, but still close to Kimberling by water. Owners used to fish with my old bass club in Leavenworth.
Members lojack Posted April 2, 2012 Members Posted April 2, 2012 I have been going to Hide-away resort (hideawayresort.com) for about 12 years and love it. Nice, newly remodled cabins, nice dock, and a pool. It is between Aunt's Creek and Cape Fair, closer to Aunt's Creek. I checked the website and it looks like they have a lot of open cabins Memorial day weekend. There is no on-site food or tackle, but the marina is right down the road and Branson West is about 15-20 minutes away.
rps Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Bill Babler, a regular on this forum, runs a place, White River Lodge. He is finest kind. If he is booked he will tell you the best alternatives. You could also stay at Phil Lilleys on Lake Tanneycomo. It is convenient to anywhere you wish to fish as well.
Members tbooks Posted April 3, 2012 Members Posted April 3, 2012 We just stayed at four seasons on aunts creek. Very nice and clean and great people. However, for family, you can't beat still waters on Indian point. Check out their web site.

drs7558 Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 I stayed at Four Season's for years, before I got my own place. Nice clean cabins, close to lake(Little Aunts Creek). The owners are great people. If I were to go back to staying at a resort, I'd stay at Four Seasons. Very nice boat dock. Nice pool. You don't even have to leave the cove to have great fishing. Very nice place.
