straw hat Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 Your right Dollar Bill!! It is not uncommon for my old Straw Hat to be seen along those banks. Great fishing for most everything!! My wifes best Stockton Largemouth came out of one of those coves you are talking about. A 5 lb-3oz sow. It was C & R as well!
Nwtf gobbler Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 I got a feeling I know the coves you guys are talking about too. They are my favorites on the entire lake. I've pulled tons of crappie and LM's out of there in the past few years. That bluff just north of SC is absolutely loaded with bass. My favorite spot. Going tonight, so I will either br In the coves looking for crappie or on the Channel bluffs catching bass on jigs or worms. Either way it will be fun.
straw hat Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 By the way I now have an "Ozark Angkers" decal on the back window of my pick-up as well as on both sides of by boat SO if you see an ugly old man in a straw hat in a pontoon boat with a sticker it is probably me! Stop by and say hello, glad to meet you all.
Members walker04 Posted April 10, 2012 Author Members Posted April 10, 2012 thanks for all the pointers on where to put in guys. I appreciate it. All I have is a trolling motor, so my main focus is gettin in the wwater, and getting to a spot that you cant get to by bank, and getting back. I do have a very good battery, but it ain't no tracker!
fishbait3 Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 hey walker, Im the same way as u, a small 2 man pontoon and a 50# trolling motor but it does the job lol.
