Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted September 25, 2006 Root Admin Posted September 25, 2006 I bought this domain the other day and am thinking about putting a forum on it. I'm looking for ideas... how would I set this up? I consider the "Ozarks" to cover Missouri, Ark, Ok, Ia, Il - where we presently have OAF members. Categories, individual forums, sub forums
Danoinark Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Hunting with various categories such as Deer, Bear, Turkey, Duck, Birds, small game. Equipment Hunting Dogs etc. Vehicles (Trucks, Atv's) Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted September 25, 2006 Author Root Admin Posted September 25, 2006 Hunting will be a saparate forum. I was thinking more about athletic sports, college, pro...
gonefishin Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 HMMm well I was thinking to suggest politics. I mean with the bashing that goes on in politics it could be a sport... Maybe call it The Ozarks Political Colesium. What do you think. I would rather be fishin'. "Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote." Benjamin Franklin, 1759
Don Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 I think sports such as baseball, football, etc could be posted on General Discussion. I've been waiting to go on and on about my St Louis Cardinals and my Kansas City Chiefs. On the other hand, I do not believe politics should be discussed on OAF. It would build resentment among OAF members. Don Don May I caught you a delicious bass.

I am into fishing and to a limited degree hunting and trapping. OAF covers my interests pretty well. Of course an argument could be made for a sports illistated swim suit site. I would rather be fishin'. "Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote." Benjamin Franklin, 1759
Don Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Sorry, I totally misunderstood you GF. By the way Bennett was a good bite this evening . Too bad you couldn't make it. I'd like to fish with you guys someday, as well as Sports Illustrated swimsuit models . Don Don May I caught you a delicious bass.
MTM Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 How about a talk area. Were you can talk real time with others on the board? Ron
jOrOb Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 I like the idea of focusing on organized sports. There has been a lot of Cardinal talk on this forum in the past (although the Cards have done a pretty good job of quashing it). With all of the college and pro teams in the region, it should go well. I like the subforums here since I can look at what I am interested in and skip the rest. I think you should stay with that. Perhaps a subheading for each team. Kinda like this: Professional athletics: St Louis Cardinals Kansas City Royals St Louis Rams KC Cheifs College athletics: Arkansas Razorbacks Missouri Tigers Missouri State Bears Oklahoma Sooners Kansas Jayhawks (hey flex) You get the idea. I like the hunting forums too. Phil, maybe you could add hunting forums here?? Chat is a good idea too, and Swimsuit models on the chat line sounds even better (with webcams??) jOrOb "The Lord has blessed us all today... It's just that he has been particularly good to me."
