I wonder when the pros go to a tournament, do they send some of their people to scout the lake first to see where the fish are located and what lures to use.

A day or two before the tournament doesn't really give you that much time to scout the lake when the lake size is as big as Beaver or is that something illegal to do?

Jeb I just got back from a looky see at the lake from the 12 bridge and its whitecap city on the water. PC didnt look as bad, Im not putting my boat out today just no need to play in the wind IMO, Besides the tackle boxes need to be cleaned and the rods all need new line so its a good day to get things back in order.

Yeah, just after I posted the stuff above, the wind picked up and blew pretty good the rest of the afternoon. Would've been a good morning to fish, after the rain had passed through probably.

At this tourney, I don't think that would've been illegal, at least from the rules they gave out. I know some circuits are very strict about stuff like that, though.

Big Bass was a 4-12 smallmouth?

Thats what I heard, not sure...

Pops fished it with the brother in law.

they weighed 7-10

Im glad to see Rick Clunn win a tournament, esp Beaver.

No, I'm sure it was a LM. I saw the guy hold it up. And it's in the pictures Quillback posted a link to above. Check out picture 20 of 30. Not a great looking bass. Probably an old fish, I'd guess.
