skeeter Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 The sponsored tournamant Pro's are touting the Lithium Ion marine batteries saying they don't get weak with use during the day and last 2000 charge/discharge cycles and weigh 50 lbs. less than lead-acid. Then you read where they cost $1200.00 apiece !!! Riiight !! Only if someone else is footing the bill. Sounds like a new marine theft target.
Members Colorado Bassmaster Posted April 20, 2012 Members Posted April 20, 2012 I'm a big fan of Interstate batteries. They're the best I've found for the $$$, long lasting too. ^^^this^^^ I have a 900 acre lake (pond) by my house that is electric only. I have a Nitro Z9 and a 36 v Minn Kota. I can lap the lake twice before a noticable decline in power. For the money, Interstate is best bang for the buck.
gotmuddy Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 I have had good luck with deep cycle batteries from walmart. I am running two in my truck right now from 2008(both originaly powered a trolling motor) and the trolling battery in my riverboat is from '09. I wouldn't run a cranking battery for the motor, if a deep cycle will start a 7.3L powerstroke it will start a 200hp merc. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
