Arkamo,

Why say disregard, when you put it in print?

It would be nice if you would at least read what I wrote:

"I am talking about people that have few post on this forum. They think they can belittle someone for sharing information".

Yeah I know how to hold a fish but the guys that I was with didn't. After I saw what they were doing I recommended that wasn't the best way to hold that fish.

I'm not belittling anyone, nor was I doing anything other than pointing out that if you are going to be very specific, you might want consider that these forums get a lot of traffic. This one has been viewed 567 times, and that is a big audience.

I have repeatedly said that I would share more specific information via PM, but even then I probably will leave a little to make sure its still fishing.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

He could be posting just to be informing, unlike some, who lurk just to gain information. I thought that was what this type of forum was for. Just my opinion though.

Posting just to be sharing information may very well be the only reason some folks post... but I'm a long way from being convinced of that. Sharing information for the sake of sharing would be very generous indeed, and perhaps there are a few out there who are genuinely that generous. But, it seems far more likely to me that the information sharers are those who want to be known for having information, they want to be identified by the fishing community. Perhaps somehow being acknowledged for having information makes them feel good about themselves, or nurses their self esteem as a fisherman, and in some cases it even seems worth sacrificing their honey holes (and the honey holes of others who would rather catch the fish than be known for them). Personally, it is far more rewarding for me to actually catch the fish than to be acknowledged for it. Maybe that makes me a "lurker" too, but fewer secrets means more lines in the water, and more lines in the water means fewer honey holes. And even in I'm not generous with information, I am generous with genuine admiration and appreciation for all the other "lurkers" out there who love to fish more than they love to talk. Just my opinion though.

You nailed it I made this post so all of you could send me Thank You cards and invite me to all of the Ozark Anglers get togethers and shake my hand thanking them of where to find big trout in a little creek.

Hey Bork, I appreciated the information and found it very interesting, but given the fact that I know the Missouri Spring isn't exactly a Trout mecca, the fact that they were anywhere in the Spring would have had the same affect.

Oh, and thanks. :D

You know... I tried to find a thank you card online and thought this was cute... but as I look at it I think it might have portraid the wrong message... such as "thanks for opening a can of sardines".

Oppps- thanks not what I meant- but it is kind of funny.

BIG SMILEY FACE!!! :)
