Members aweber1455 Posted April 21, 2012 Members Posted April 21, 2012 hahah strippers... in my experience it's hard to tell where schools of white bass and/or hybrids will be because they're usually nomadic and go wherever the shad are. I've found 'em this time of year before grouped up in areas with a tributary-like feeder stream and also caught some accidentally in places you wouldn't think they'd be. White bass at Lake of the O is a crapshoot - it can be really good or really hard.
Addicted to Creeks Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 If you find them once make sure you tip well. They will find you after that Fish always lose by being "got in and dressed." It is best to weigh them while they are in the water. The only really large one I ever caught got away with my leader when I first struck him. He weighed ten pounds. —Charles Dudley Warner
