Quillback Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Congrats to the young man, must be a great feeling to be 24 and win an Elite event. http://www.baxterbulletin.com/article/20120422/SPORTS/304220002/Palaniuk-holds-TroKar-Quest-title
gotmuddy Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 it was a great weigh-in, and I bet they will be back next year. Everyone in the tourny kept saying how awesome the lake was, and gerald swindle sounded like a commercial for tourism saying that if he was wanting a place to come stay and go fishing Bull Shoals is the place to do it. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
Guest Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Its cool to see a young guy thats a former fed. nation champ to win big at the Elites, hats off to that dude He caught them off an old roadbed that was a staging area. I was very surprised that a deep diver beat out the wiggle wart. What do I know, That translucent brown/amber color is super duper, I will most certainly buy a fistfull of them. The only problem I have witht he Rapala DT series is the fragile bill, breaks when it smacks a big rock. Also mentioned that he plans to sleep in his truck the rest of this season. Smart financial & logistical move I might try the "marshall" idea, if they come back. Jerry McKinnis loves that lake, I bet they do it.
Quillback Posted April 23, 2012 Author Posted April 23, 2012 Yep I gotta get over there and fish Bull myself. I was reading that they were catching 30-100 14-15" bass per day.
