Walleyedmike Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Had a great time fishing Stockton this weekend with my wife. We had an evening commitment Saturday, so we only fished four hours or so in the afternoon. Trolled crankbaits on lead in open water the entire time. Didn't set the world on fire, but put ten nice keeper crappie and four keeper walleye in the boat. All of the crappie were full of eggs. Caught another five short walleye. Fought the wind for a couple of hours this morning and kept five walleye bottom bouncing harnesses. Lost a couple at the boat, and I believe we would have limited easily if we only had more time, dang it! WM

kwall Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 WM, thanks for the report -- think I better get to the camper this weekend
Gilly Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Fantastic day. More shorts than keepers but ended up with 5 crappie, 3 walleye, 1 huge bass, had a blast getting hit pretty steady. Lost another biggy on a new hook we tried, hardly any barb on the darn thing. Not certain what brand it is but they're red. Tried one a second time and same thing. Set the hook and lost it close to the boat. Good for a rush though! We found fish at numerous depths, gravel, rock face, didn't really matter. Used worms, artificial minnows, misc. plastics. in bright green and orange. www.drydock516.com
