Jason R. Posted April 27, 2012 Author Posted April 27, 2012 I gotta tell you I was just as excited as I am with a large trout- to be honest, carp fight way harder than any trout. I will admit that trout make for better pictures and the flies are a lot cooler looking. I just like fish that are a challenge. http://flyinthesouth.com/
Geoff Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Welcome to the dark side. I've been catching them like mad this year on the fly, up to 7 already. "When you do things right, people wont be sure you've done anything at all."
Jason R. Posted April 27, 2012 Author Posted April 27, 2012 Ya I am already planning my next carp trip... I am thinking I could find some good ones on the Arkansas river down by Little Rock. http://flyinthesouth.com/
Wayne SW/MO Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 I have a ton of them around me, but I also have lots of water and catching them in shallow water feeding is all most non-existant. I can catch lots of them over corn and I think I will try blind fishing over a bait field. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

But I have also had luck doing the blind thing in deeper water.
