jeb Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Just some links for anyone interested. Here's a live feed for the weigh ins: http://www.flwoutdoors.com/tournaments/flw-live/ Link to the standings: http://www.flwoutdoors.com/bassfishing/flw/tournament/2012/6742/beaver-lake-professional-results/ I went out and watched the weigh in for a while. But not much going on there, very few specifics. Just watch the live feed above and you'll get the same info. Quillback and I were out slaying the fish today (45 bass in the boat, big girl was 7.5lbs) so I didn't get out on Beaver to watch what the pros are doing. Most said it was tough, though. The leader said he caught the heck out of them. John B 08 Skeeter SL210, 225F Yamaha
J-Doc Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Were you on Beaver and catching that many? Yhe pros were having a really hard time. Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
Guest Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Do you mind sharing your story? LOL It sounds like a lot more fun than Beaver..
wc1063 Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 I'm thinking Swepco, Table Rock, or maybe Grand???
Feathers and Fins Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 I'll guess Bella Veeeesta Lake lol. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Quillback Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Yep we were fishing Lake Windsor in BV, the fish were biting plastics really well, just one of those days where you can do no wrong.
Stump bumper Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 High winds and an approaching front today if someone figures out to move from point to point with a spinnerbait they should be able to locate a honey hole or two. If there is one constant on Beaver it is wind + Points + Spinnerbaits = big bass, that is how I always got beat anyway I hate throwing spinnerbaits.
jeb Posted April 27, 2012 Author Posted April 27, 2012 Hey, I resemble that picture! She was so fresh off the beds, her tail was still oozing blood. But she had a big gut yet, apparently eating everything in site. One of the pros that had a tough day yesterday was saying at the weigh in "I hope the wind blows 100mph tomorrow. I KNOW I can catch them then.". I don't do well in big winds, so that is counter-intuitive to me. John B 08 Skeeter SL210, 225F Yamaha
Feathers and Fins Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 BIG IF... The guys I watched yesterday were working banks for Bedders... I have been catching most mine off points for almost two weeks now. But we are locals and know Beaver and the wind. Im betting if any of them went over to Bear and Deer and worked the points in 8 to 15 ft they would have 15lb bag for today at least. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
RSBreth Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 I fished Sunday and was catching them off windy secondary points in mid-lake creek arms. If I could have only got my brother-in-law to back off the bank more we would have done better I was doing good on shaky head worms and my tiny 3/16 finesse jig.
