We have been getting quite a bit of rain this week. Wondering how muddy Twain has become, going this weekend.

Any tips on muddy water crappie fishing?

Big Rain early in the week, Lick creek backing down. Too thin to plow, too thick to drink. My suggestion is less than 2 feet of water.

Right, that is where I do my best anyway. I always have a hard time if I got to find fish deep. I am going to go to Ray berins Instead of the west end of the lake this time. I figure that end of the lake might be a little less thick.

Fishing was tough for me chased bass most of the day and mixed in some crappie. Clean water in the Indians and ely was not bad. Just could not get anything going. Really worked the old bank line the 7-9 foot area maybe I should have gone shallower? Had 7 bass and 3 crappie. As I put it I got "Twained"

Yep, tough for me too. We mostly fished for crappie. Caught a good mess but only kept 8 in two days. Mostly little ones. The bigger ones did come out of 6 to 8 ft of water. Caught a lot shallow too but those were all small throw backs. Set a couple cat lines without success. Still learning the ins and outs of that cat game.

This was my first time exploring the east end of the lake. The boat ramp at Ray Berhins was a mad house......wow have not seen that too much lately. I don't do high population areas too often. Quite entertaining. Made my girlfriends butt pucker while she drove the boat and waited for me to park the trailer. We mostly fished Little Indian, lots of good looking structure. Seems like we caught better fish on average two weeks ago on the west end of the lake but that just might have been because the bite was harder to find this time.
