Goggle-Eyed Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 Has anyone tried a smaller A-Rig in a river enviroment? I am thinking it would be amazing in a riffle that has a few deep pockets and/or large boulders. Obviously there is a high risk of losing it if you are not careful about where you throw it. Just curious if anyone has tried it??? Joe
moguy1973 Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 I wouldn't think it would work that well in a gin clear river like the Black or the Huzzah since they would see the wires, but in a stained or not perfectly clear water it would probably work just as well as it does in lakes. Seems like an expensive venture though... -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
Dutch Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 Yes I have tried it and had some success. I make my own and have different sizes with different wire diameters. Loading up with smaller grubs and light weight heads and small willow leaf or Indiana blades has worked best for me.
