Idylwilde Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 Browns are Moving up. This was the second by this angler this week, and 5 others have been placed on the Lunker board. Take a Child Fishing they are the future of the sport.
Greasy B Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 Nice fish, he's a better fisherman than I. His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974
Guest Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 White jig? I see a red spot on the side of the fish facing the camera.
Members northernranger Posted June 4, 2012 Members Posted June 4, 2012 It hurts my gut to see both of the pictures of these nice browns being held up by this guy. I would have been happy with a story that ended with a release. I was down there last week and seen a number of big fish tucked into the shallow pools above and below Tan Vat. They spooked rather easily, and I consider myself fairly stealthy. Knowing that and seeing the red spot makes me somewhat concerned.
Members northernranger Posted June 4, 2012 Members Posted June 4, 2012 Also two in one week could be some darn good luck! If it weren't for the way the guy holds the fish up I wouldn't question his ethics as much.
mic Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 A lot off topic, but that is a really nice looking fly shop. If you laid it out great job.
Members northernranger Posted June 5, 2012 Members Posted June 5, 2012 Reed's is an excellent fly shop.
Members salmotrutta Posted June 5, 2012 Members Posted June 5, 2012 It does not look like he released it to me...
