TSmith Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 I use a Maxpedition FATBOY Versipack. Maxpedtion makes the best packs one could ever buy. Its just the right size to hold all the gear you need and its very comfortable. Its built like a tank, light weight (depending on how much gear you take with you), CCW compatible, water resistant, easy to clean, and just an all around killer bag! I believe that fishing is usually better when there is a full moon. People are more crazy when there is a full moon. Thank God He made fish the way He did so I can have better fishing when people are crazier than normal.
dgames Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 Most of the time I use a chest pack with small backpack. The backpack is really just the same size as the chestpack, but rides on your back. Really all I keep in the part that goes on my back is my car keys, wallet and cellphone in a waterproof container. Everything I use is in the chestpack portion. It rides really high, which I like because I have a tendency to push the limit on deep wading. When it is really hot in the summer, I go minimalist and just use a lanyard plus a flybox in my shirt pocket.
rfd515 Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 most of my jaunts are a couple hours long so I use a Rising Flask Pack which I'm pretty in love with. It's pretty water resistant and holds everything I need but is still small and light. Holds a bugger barn and 2 thin boxes which is a big plus.

Wayne SW/MO Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 I like the looks of the Maxpedition. They make one that is very close and is cheaper. This one is probably just as good for a fly bag. The one TSmith has is high quality because it's actually aimed at soldiers of fortune and LEO's, but you pay for it. http://www.amazon.com/UTG-Multi-functional-Tactical-Messenger-Bag/dp/B002TUSSY4/ref=pd_sbs_sg_1 I have this one and it's well made, but I haven't carried it yet. It also has a place for a holster, if that's in your equipment. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

I just googled it and found them at Pyramid Air for $28, shame I just ordered an air pistol from them yesterday, could have combined shipping. As far as the holster goes, it is always in my equipment outside of a public park. I have the one that Ness uses, it is my winter expedition pack. You can pack a shore lunch with a skillet in it.
