Had a friend show me a picture of some guy with a 5lb 4oz crappie that was said to come out of table rock. Story goes that Basspro paid him 22K on the spot to put the fish in their aquarium. Anybody heard this? The crappie was HUGE in the picture. I can see if my friend can send me the picture later.

There's a story and a pic going around... it may be that one. If it is, it's not from Table Rock.

Well now I'm told by my brother who is a crappie enthusiast that the picture is actually a few months old already and some rumor says it wasn't from Mizzou, idk. Surprised I just heard of it now, oh wells.

I have got that photo sent to me text from all over the country and from every lake that has crappie in them. The most believable of the story's is it came from a farm pond in IL. I find it hard to believe BP would pay that much for a dead fish. it,s eyes are already glazed. Just saying!

Take a Child Fishing they are the future of the sport.

This same fish was being talked about on the Lake of the Ozarks forum... It's a fish tale.... You would definitely hear of something like this from a reliable news source if it was real.
