vonreed Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 Has anybody ever done any fishing under lights in the K dock area? I'm thinking about trying it and just wondered if anybody had any advice on if it's any good in this area. Possibly even in the Beaver Creek area to. thanks
vonreed Posted July 4, 2012 Author Posted July 4, 2012 Geez, You guys are rough. I've waited patiently with over 260 views I know someone had to have known something about night fishing under lights. Oh well, lol. Hopefully I can have time soon and can try to figure out a spot to go.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted July 4, 2012 Root Admin Posted July 4, 2012 I guess 270 people were wondering too... boy it'd be crowded if 270 anglers hit the K Dock area night fishing so be careful what you report! Hope you do well. Sorry- I have no experience down there under the lights. On Table Rock I find about 40 feet of water off a bluff and fish there.
Members Ping Posted July 10, 2012 Members Posted July 10, 2012 I have night fished under the lights around snap, but it has been several years. We caught a few walleye and a couple of crappie, but had a hard time keeping the gar off our shad. It was still fun. Sorry, but that is all I know about the subject...which isnt much.
powerdive Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 Looks like you're a pioneer, vonreed. Let us know how it comes out!
vonreed Posted July 11, 2012 Author Posted July 11, 2012 Thanks Ping! Didn't think anybody would chime in, lol. I'm hoping to get out and try it as soon as my fishing buddy decides to go with. I guess I'll try around K dock maybe, who knows. I will probably fill the boat with walleye and 16 inch crappie.
JohnP Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Last time we tried it was a couple years along the stump row across from Hogan. Did fairly well on the crappie but spent more time battling the gar. Good luck when you go.
