Quillback Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 They aren't as bad this year here in NWA, I heard a reason, something to do with last years weather but can't remember the exact reason. I didn't see any grubs this spring when I was turning over the garden, which is unusual. They do like the pole beans, but they aren't bad enough this year that I need to do anything about them.
Wayne SW/MO Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 I noticed a garter snake laying under the tomatoes trying to get cool, I relocated him with the hoe. You realize he was there to eat bugs? You surprise me with that one JD, if it is what I think I read. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

I picked him up and flipped him over into the neighbor's yard. Momma don't like snakes of any type in the picking patch. When she sees one, she is done for a while. Quillback Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 Found some hornworms on the tomato plants yesterday.
