What is your favorite replacement hook Mitch? I've never had an issue with stock Lucky Craft Hooks...they are forged...and sharp enough. The one's on this plug look like unforged tinned or stainless saltwater hooks.

If the length of the shank won't interfere, I go with Gamakatsu EWG trebles, if there's a chance that the length might cause the hooks to get tangled, I go with the Mustad KVD short shank ultra points. With the short shanks you might actually be able to use a bigger size on the same lure.

Thanks Mitch...I rooted around in the basement and I had a 6 pack of #6 short shank KVD Mustad Ultra Points in the stash. Put a pair on in place of those #8 Owner jackwagon hooks. The plug is walking better than ever in the pool. Cant wait to get it on the water again...Will trade you a jig or several next time your changing out stock LC hooks;>)!

There's a well known tournament angler at TR that uses the gamakatsu short shank EWG's on his wiggle warts...he's the guy who got me using those hooks. He always says he never loses a big fish anymore. If they are both short shank I like the Gamakatsu better but they are hard to find and you can pick up the KVD's at Walmart and are very good hooks.
