fishbait3 Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 THanks to all that could show and did show up. Especially to Mr. Lilley for driving up and having alot of the food prepared for us as we came ashore from fishing. My partner and I fished from a canoe and that was fun. He is used to fishing from a canoe down in florida where he is from. All we caught were 3 short bass, No crappie, and the 1 keeper walleye that jumped ship when we were trying to get him in the cooler for keeps. It was a hot one but did have nice breeze. Not a whole lot of people out on the water or even in the swim area. Very nice day to have the sail boats out. FB3
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted July 1, 2012 Root Admin Posted July 1, 2012 Just got home. Nice to meet all you guys (and gals) at the picnic. Sorry we couldn't weigh in any fish. We will next time!
zarraspook Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 Good to hear all went well ( except the fish didn't cooperate )... Sorry I miss it !!!!! "Look up OPTIMIST in the dictionary - there is a picture of a fishing boat being launched"
justin scobee Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 Yes my family and I would like to say thanks Lilley the food was great...… Jason had 2 short bass and 1 blue gill. I had 2 short bass, but we did have a lot of bites but just could not make it happen. after about 2 hrs of day light the bites got real real slow. But over all I had a great time. Its been awhile cents I have been fishing so any day on the water is great. We stayed till 4 swimming with the kids. But I did get burnet real bad on the face. errrrrrr The boaters and seadoers did pick up about 3 or alittle after. Thanks justin
