wily Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 fishing has been good for me lately -- lots of smallmouth on a little worm, and getting a lot of hits on the buzz bait...not catching all the buzz bait fish...but i get to touch a couple. the boys have been catching em pretty good on a little blue rapala
Members CDC Posted July 16, 2012 Members Posted July 16, 2012 I would have to agree with you. Floated Allen Bridge to Lime Kiln on Friday with my cousin. We caught 55 fish between the two of us. All nice fish with several 15 inch bass a few in the 16 inch range (including a nice smallmouth) and a few 17 inchers. Best fishing I have done all year long. We even pulled out a stringer full of rock bass with a few of those in the 10 inch range. Most were caught on a 5 inch trick worm.
Buzz Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 You guys are killing me. Thanks for the reports. Fishing always seems to be its best during drought times. At least that's my opinion. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
ollie Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Come on Buzz, you know you want to go!!! Give me a shout if you want to go early on a weekend. "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!
