creek wader Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 I put a new twist on fishing, while in the Bahamas. I thought I'd try usng myself as bait. Actually, I went on a shark feed dive with Stuart's Cove's Dive Center. I was "bumped" 7 times. What a hoot! wader
Haris122 Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Did they tell you what species they were? I'm no shark expert but I'd let you bump in front of me if those were Bullsharks, too, haha.
creek wader Posted July 11, 2012 Author Posted July 11, 2012 Blacktip reef sharks. They didn't intentionaly bump me, I was just in the way. As far as they were concerned, I was just a rock or something. They were totally focused on the food. Also, the females were pregnant, and very plump. They were larger than the males. wader
stlfisher Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Looks like a blast...something I need to do someday.
DaddyO Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 I, generally, stay out of places where I'm not at the top of the food chain. DaddyO We all make decisions; but, in the end, our decisions make us.
creek wader Posted July 14, 2012 Author Posted July 14, 2012 Some people want to jump out of an airplane for thrills, I rather take my chances with the sharks. They are after all, misunderstood. wader
Members Kylekcmo Posted June 12, 2014 Members Posted June 12, 2014 I, generally, stay out of places where I'm not at the top of the food chain. Agreed! Looks like fun but pretty sure the water around me would be turning "brown". haha
REDSOXWSCHAMP Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Some people want to jump out of an airplane for thrills, I rather take my chances with the sharks. They are after all, misunderstood. If swimming with sharks is anywhere close to thrill of skydiving, I'M IN
cnr Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 I'm a certified diver but…ummm no thank you. I always want to be the apex predator. I had a Bull Shark and a Hammerhead Shark eat a 150lb Tarpon at boat side a few years ago. Very impressive…and a little scary.
