Looks like we might be in a long term drought for Beaver. I have been doing a little research on where the lake might be around October through next April.

Now in doing this I took into account we had a mild winter and pretty much no shad kill :) so I am going to give a few suggestions to those searching for stripers this fall.

#1 The mud flats in Prairie Creek Mid september to the end of Feb,

#2 The channel between 12 bridge and the first Island Dec through May, ( Durring duck season give the guys hunting a wide birth they will be on the island also watch for deer that may be pushed off the island )

#3 Flats in front of Beaver Shores

#4 Deep holes on the North Side of sand bars from Horshoe Bend to Hickory Creek.

Find the 6 to 8 inch shad and you should find the stripers, I actually expect to see some larger 20+ pound stripers being caught more often if conditions continue simply becaust they will be forced into smaller confined areas.
