yaknar Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Because it doesn't look like the drought will end anytime soon... I have modified my kayak so I don't have to drag going down the river. It may not be street legal but should be river legal. What do you think?
Wayne SW/MO Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Is it 4WD? The banks are getting a long way from the roads. I know the fish are getting more and more concentrated, I just hope too many aren't ending up in hot grease. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Tim Smith Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Funny stuff. But you know, there really is money to be made in a good kayak hand cart or trolley. These mountain lakes in Colorado are begging to be fished by kayak (I will NOT buy a belly boat). If there were a way to drag a kayak along the trail with a reasonable set of wheels on the back, I'd be all over that. A six mile walk carrying a kayak isn't going to happen, but I could pull a cart that far.
Wayne SW/MO Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 I have one for my SIT that breaks down and can store inside the hatch. It attaches by way of two pipes that go through the scuppers. The beach carts have balloon tires that might be better for boondocking. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
strangercreek Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 That right rear tire looks like it might be a retread, I don't know if I'd trust it at river speeds. The front also looks like it is wearing funny....you need to get that thing into an alignment shop, quick
UnCivE Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Probably drives like a boat with the alignment like that...
Stoneroller Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 I have a nice kayak cart that cabela's sells for less than $100 frequently. it's listed as a 'cabela's' kayak cart but it's actually made by a well respected kayak accessory manufaturer.
